Frontier® Optima

Frontier® Optima – the widest spectrum herbicide in its class that controls pre-emergent weeds regardless of the weather.

Frontier® Optima

Frontier® Optima – the widest spectrum herbicide in its class that controls pre-emergent weeds regardless of the weather.

Benefits

Most pre-emergent herbicides depend on rainfall for optimal efficacy, however, Frontier® Optima with its inherent chemical properties, requires less rainfall for activation than other pre-emergent herbicides, resulting in a more reliable performance.

Ingredients 720 g / lt dimethenamid - P (chloroacetamid)
Registration Number L7011
Broadleaf weeds
Recommended rate Time of application Number of application
0.4 - 1.2 lt / ha Frontier® Optima is a pre–emergent, broad–spectrum herbicide for the control of annual grasses and annual broadleaf weeds (as indicated) and under certain conditions also yellow nutsedge. The site of uptake of Frontier® Optima by weeds is through the coleoptile in monocotyledonous plants (grasses) and through the hypocotyl and developing roots in dicotyledonous plants (broadleaf weeds). Uptake occurs between germination of the seed and emergence of the seedling from the soil. The timing of application should therefore occur in time to enable Frontier® Optima to enter the soil moisture (activation) and reach the target site, prior to the emergence of the weeds.Rain or irrigation is required prior to weed emergence, to facilitate activation.Late applications or activation, or applications to already emerged weeds will result in greatly reduced efficacy. -

Frontier® Optima is a pre–emergent, broad–spectrum herbicide for the control of annual grasses and annual broadleaf weeds (as indicated) and under certain conditions also yellow nutsedge.

Why Frontier® Optima?

Frontier® Optima – the widest spectrum herbicide in its class that controls pre-emergent weeds regardless of the weather.

Most pre-emergent herbicides depend on rainfall for optimal efficacy, however, Frontier® Optima with its inherent chemical properties, requires less rainfall for activation than other pre-emergent herbicides, resulting in a more reliable performance.

Frontier® Optima:

  • Contains 720 g / ℓ dimethenamid-P.
  • Is photo-stable and can lie on the ground surface until sufficient water is available.
  • Has advanced technology to prevent resistance.
  • Dissolves rapidly due to enhanced water solubility; the product, therefore, moves quickly to the target areas.
  • Provides improved crop safety.
  • Has a greener profile than most herbicides.
  • Is not vulnerable to seasonal weather conditions.
  • Effectively controls annual grasses, broadleaf weeds and yellow nutsedge in potatoes.

The safety of Frontier® Optima ensures a better harvest, contributing to return on your investment. The reliable efficacy, high crop safety and control of the widest weed spectrum in its class, make Frontier® Optima a winning product, giving you the peace-of mind to focus on crop growth and not weeds.
