General information

Name Priaxor®
Formulation Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC)
Ingredients 75 g/l Xemium® (Fluxapyroxad), 150 g/l F500® (Pyraclostrobin)
Common rust
Recommended rate Time of application Number of application
0,8 l/ha followed by 0,8 l/ha Priaxor® is recommended in an integrated disease management programme. Consistent and reliable disease control is dependent on preventive fungicide applications. Apply the first application of Priaxor® at the 5-6 leaf stage of the maize, or earlier should infection occur before the 5-leaf stage of the crop. (See NOTES: Early Infections:) Repeat with a second application 21 – 28 days later. Under conditions of accelerated disease progression use the shorter interval period. Apply in sufficient water to ensure good coverage of the leaves and stems of the crop, using the following as a guideline: Ground application: Apply in 150 – 300 l water/ha. Do not exceed two applications of Priaxor® per season. 2

Why Priaxor®?

Priaxor® - BASF newest Maize fungicide is a powerful combination of our tried and trusted active ingredient - F500® (Pyraclostrobin) and Xemium®. Beyond the known disease control performance of F500®, Xemium®, BASF’s latest SDHI active ingredient has been included to deliver an additional mode of action to ensure disease resistance management.

Xemium® offers additional benefits through the creation of crystalline depots on the leaf surface which release over time to provide good residual protection. These crystalline depots are also mobilised through additional moisture that it is exposed to and releases small amounts of the Xemium® active which flow into the leaf axil for further uptake into new growth of the crop. Xemium® has an innovation molecule structure that enables it to switch its orientation to move through both lipophilic and hydrophilic plant structures.

Priaxor® is formulated with BASFs “Stick and Stay” formulation to ensure that as much of the product spray remains on the crop – this is to ensure that the product reaches the target to effectively control disease.

With the high loading of F500® in Priaxor®, it delivers on the AgCelence® promise of excellent disease control, increased plant growth efficiency and stress tolerance.
