Basagran® is a product that, over the years, has won the trust of farmers with its effective treatment of post-emergent weed problems in maize and a variety of other crops.

Basagran®:

  • Supplies a rapid visible indication of its effect on weeds and covers the broadest broadleaf weed spectrum in its class. It is especially effective on yellow nutsedge (Cyperus esculentus) and other tough broadleaf weeds.
  • Offers crop safety which ensures that maize in all stages of growth is exceptionally tolerant towards the product. Weed problems can be addressed at any stage in the crop cycle, with no negative effects on the maize plant.
  • Mode of action also supports herbicide resistance control strategies. Basagran® offers contact action with low volatility, thus spray drift during application is of low risk for adjacent non-target crops.
  • Offers an additional advantage in that a waiting period is not necessary before follow-up crops can be planted, as soil residues, regardless of the soil-pH, are not applicable.
  • Has great versatility, because apart from maize, it also carries registrations for use in other crops, such as dry beans, green beans, peanuts, soybeans, peas, maize, grain sorghum, cereals, potatoes, paprika, as well as red and green peppers.
  • Offers excellent post-emergent control of yellow nutsedge and broadleaf weeds in maize.
